Alison serves as the Program Manager for the University of Delaware “PPP”: Principal Preparation Program, an Alternative Routes to Principal Certification in Delaware. She leads DASL’s 21st Century Grant funded extra time programs at 8 elementary schools in the State of Delaware and the statewide Comprehensive Success Review process. Alison also supports DASL’s grant writing and budget management efforts and coordinates DASL’s annual statewide conference for school leaders, the Policy & Practice Institute.
Alison is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Education Leadership. She obtained a Project Management Certificate in May 2012. While earning a Masters of Public Administration degree with a focus on Education Policy in 2010, Alison was employed as a graduate research assistant for DASL from 2008-2010. She assisted with research and planning for several DASL projects that support school leader development including the Distributed Leadership Project and the Developmental Assessment Center.
After receiving her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in 2007, Alison completed a year of public service through Public Allies, an AmeriCorps program. She is very involved in the local community and has volunteered for organizations including Sussex County Habitat for Humanity, the Miss Delaware Scholarship Organization, Delaware Community Foundation and the University of Delaware’s Alumni Club.
