Vanessa graduated from the University of Scranton in May 2012 as a Psychology major with a concentration in Human Development and a minor in Theatre.  As an undergraduate, Vanessa participated as a Research Assistant in a study that investigated implicit and explicit biases, was a Teaching Assistant for several psychology courses, and served as the President of the University’s Psi Chi chapter.  She was also an active member of the Psychology Club and the University of Scranton Players.  After graduation, Vanessa worked at Conestoga High School as a paraeducator in the special education department, where she was able to assist teachers and support students with a variety of disabilities.  Her experience as a paraeducator ultimately led her to pursue a career in School Psychology.

Vanessa is currently a graduate student in the M.A. /Ed.S. Program in School Psychology.  Upon graduation, Vanessa intends to obtain her license and secure a full-time position as a school psychologist.  Vanessa is looking forward to utilizing the skills and the knowledge that she is gaining through her education and through her experience at DASL in all future academic and professional endeavors.
