The Developmental Assessment Center helps school leaders identify their strengths and tackle their weaknesses in specific leadership skills.
What?
The Developmental Assessment Center is an intensive, daylong leadership simulation. It tests participants' interpersonal, administrative, communication and self-knowledge skills. Activities include:
- Analyzing student test data.
- Conducting a teacher observation.
- Communicating a key message to staff.
- Conferencing with parents.
- Tackling an overflowing in-box.
Why?
- Discover your strengths and weaknesses as a school leader.
- Get feedback on your performance in real-world leadership tasks.
- Engage in reflective discussion with an experienced assessor.
- Create a concrete individual growth plan, based on where you are now.
Who?
- Current or aspiring school leaders may participate.
- Assessors are retired school leaders who have received rigorous training.
How much?
Participating in the Assessment Center costs $3,000 per participant, with a minimum of three participants required to run it.
